OGE named one of the best training workplaces in Germany
OGE is one of Germany's best training workplaces in 2020, according to the study "Germany's best training workplaces 2020" conducted by the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF) on behalf of Focus Money.
OGE has successfully participated in the study for the fourth time in a row.
Jörg Meißner, Head of Human Resources at OGE: "It is important to us to offer apprentices an environment that challenges and encourages them. That is why we question conventional solutions and also continue our own development."
For the study, the 20,000 German companies with the highest number of employees are contacted annually by means of a questionnaire. The focus is on the successful completion of apprenticeships, remuneration for apprentices and additional offers. The study also evaluates various Internet sources, which are analysed and categorised using artificial intelligence.

The study is intended to provide orientation and support pupils in their career choice and search for the best training workplace.
OGE is currently training around 85 apprentices in six professions: chemical laboratory technician, electronics technician, mechatronics technician, industrial mechanic and business administrator, with and without university studies. Apart from its main training centre in Essen, OGE also trains apprentices at various company sites throughout Germany, such as in Krummhörn (Lower Saxony), Mittelbrunn (Rhineland-Palatinate), Gernsheim (Hesse), Waidhaus (Bavaria) and Wegscheid (Bavaria), Ummeln (NRW) and Rimpar (Bavaria).
