OGE publishes network tariffs for NetConnect Germany and GASPOOL market areas effective 1 January 2021

Uniform postage stamp tariffs for the NetConnect Germany and GASPOOL market areas from 1 January to 1 October 2021

On 28 May 2020, Open Grid Europe (OGE) published its network tariffs applicable from 1 January 2021. The new annual tariff for a firm freely allocable entry and exit capacity will be € 3,77 / (kWh/h) / a in the NetConnect Germany (NCG) market area and € 3,32 / (kWh/h) / a in the GASPOOL market area.

Compared to 2020, the new tariff corresponds to a reduction of around 7,4 % in the NCG market area and a reduction of around 1,2 % in the GASPOOL market area for firm freely allocable entry and exit capacities booked with OGE.

In contrast to previous years, the tariffs will only apply from 1 January 2021 to 1 October 2021. From 1 October 2021, there will be a uniform tariff for the new joint Trading Hub Europe (THE) market area. The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) has already initiated a process under the name REGENT 2021 to determine the tariffs. OGE is expected to publish the tariff valid from 1 October 2021 at the end of September 2020, depending on the Federal Network Agency's decisions.
