New uniform postage stamp tariff for the Trading Hub Europe (THE) market area from 1 January 2023

For the Trading Hub Europe (THE) market area the transmission system operators have determined the uniform tariff from 1 January 2023 on the basis of the Federal Network Agency’s (BNetzA) REGENT 2021 decision.

On 30 May 2022, OGE (Open Grid Europe) published this uniform network tariff. The annual tariff for firm, freely allocable entry and exit capacity will be 4,82 EUR/(kWh/h)/a applicable from 1 January 2023.

Compared to 2022 the tariff for firm freely allocable entry and exit capacities in the THE market area will be around 37,3 percent higher.

Due to the geopolitical situation, changed gas flows due to Ukraine war and consequently adjusted market booking behaviour were assumed in part. In addition, the significantly increased costs for driving energy will also lead to an increase in the fee.
